This guide was created with the aim of making available on paper the enormous work of promotion of the Lunigiana territory by Lunigiana World.

For those who love trekking and outdoor hiking, Lunigiana is the ideal destination! Mountains and mountains from the Apennines to the Apuan Alps, immense meadows hidden among the slopes of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Rivers, lakes, torrents and waterfalls.

The Guide to the wonders of Lunigiana is the fourteenth publication in the Guide Marsupio series, a series of agile, manageable, ‘friendly’ guides. That can be easily consulted on the move or during a visit, and just as easily stowed in the backpack waist bag.

Lunigiana World is a start-up born in 2018 thanks to the commitment of Maurizio Veroni and Federico Palermitano, based in Villafranca in Lunigiana, Province of Massa-Carrara. The idea starts from the desire to share the mainly naturalistic beauties of Lunigiana (border area between the regions of Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna and Liguria) on a Facebook page, initially centered on the town of Bagnone, then extended to the whole of Lunigiana. Little by little, thanks to their knowledge of the area, Federico and Maurizio realize that there is much more to tell: ancient medieval villages, castles, cuisine, slow lifestyle, folklore and traditions. Subsequently, the idea of the App was born. Today, LW’s aim is to promote Lunigiana in Italy and around the world and to allow everyone, free of charge, to see for themselves places hidden from most people.
