Il Cammino del Tigullio

between mountains, sea and villages

by Paolo Menzani

A series of agile, portable, and user-friendly guides that can be easily consulted on the go or during a visit, and just as easily stowed in a backpack pouch: these are the Guide Marsupio, digitally printed and assembled on the premises of the Officine Gutenberg social cooperative with the direct involvement of people with disabilities.
Their strength is a format that has remained unchanged over time: a practical fact sheet summarizing the hike’s statistics, a map showing the route, a summary of the route, and finally the original roadbook—a true trademark—complete with images of the key sections of the route.

This publication is dedicated to the Cammino del Tigullio between Mountains, Sea, and Villages, an initiative conceived and promoted by BioTigullio5Terre together with Tigullio Trekking. A holiday dedicated to slow tourism, a type of tourism that has zero environmental impact, a green tourism that is attentive and respectful of the history of the places, the centuries-old traditions preserved there, the local culinary art, its local products, the beautiful landscapes and breathtaking views. A 65 km circular itinerary, starting and ending in Chiavari, divided into five stages that cross the Portofino Regional Natural Park, passing the majestic peaks of Pegge and Manico di Lume, over 800 meters above sea level, and the seaside villages of San Fruttuoso, Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Rapallo and Zoagli.
